Knowledge sharing does require care. Security information can be sensitive. Vulnerabilities must be reported responsibly. Organizations must be able to learn without unnecessarily damaging the public. A mature community shares what can be shared, protects what needs to be protected and makes the trade-off explicit.
This also requires a common language. ROT, BIV, risk registers, audit findings and PDCA help different disciplines speak to each other. Without such language, security quickly gets stuck in technical details or administrative abstraction. With shared concepts, people can work together on the same risks.
